Many firms with lump sum or fixed fee contracts prefer to budget by cost, not the bill value of the hours. At times other contract types may require a cost-based budget.
Beginning in 2009, cost-based budgets became a standard BillQuick feature.
When defining your budget, BillQuick inserts the correct Cost Rate for an employee or consultant. It will be their default cost rate, or it will be a special rate from a designated service fee schedule.
Also, you can pull in a cost rate from the Activity Table if you wish.
